From Cat Tyrtle
Matt “Cat Tyrtle” Ertle first came onto the Ohio music scene in 2013, jamming with friends and playing open mics. In 2016 he began working with local artists and bands in the Akron and Cleveland areas to throw local showcases and afterparty events. In 2018 he began working at Akron’s historic Tangier Cabaret, where he first saw ekoostik hookah.
After two seasons with The Tangier, Cat ended up leaving the bar scene to pursue recovery. He returned to the music scene in spring of 2021 at The Buzzbin in Canton, and began work for Hookahville that fall. Today, Cat Tyrtle identifies as a gratefully recovered hippie, celebrating 4 years clean from alcohol, thanks to cannabis. He and his partner Nicole own Cat Tyrtle Rocks, a crystal, art, and concert promotion business. Cat and Nicole are extremely proud to be a part of the magic at one of Ohio’s newest cannabis concert experiences!
